Proceedings of the Summer Course in Indian Culture and Spirituality 2016 - Day 02 (Morning Session)

The day's proceedings began with Invocatory Vedic chants by the students of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Anantapur Campus. After the Vedic Chants, a panel discussion on 'Living with Bhagawan is True Education: Reminisces of the Bhaja Govindam drama staged in Mumbai, 1988' was held. 

The Moderator was Dr. T Ravi Kumar, Associate Professor, Dept. of Chemistry, Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning; and Warden, Brindavan Campus Hostel. The panelists 
from the Prasanthi Nilayam Campus were Prof. G. Nageswara Rao, Head, Dept. of Chemistry; Dr. B. Sai Giridhar, Head, Dept. of Management and Commerce, Dr. Shailesh Srivastava, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Physics. Those representing Brindavan Campus included Dr. C.N. Sundaresan, Associate Professor and Associate Head, Dept. of Chemistry, and Dr. N. Sivakumar, Associate Professor and Associate Head, Dept. of Management and Commerce from Brindavan Campus.

The panelists reminisced the golden days that they had spent at His lotus feet during the enactment of the drama 'Bhaja Govindam' which was directed by none other than the Cosmic Director Bhagavan Himself. The drama was blessed by Bhagavan to be enacted at various occasions such as the Institute's Convocation, Vice-Chancellors' Conference, Bhagavan's 50th birthday Celebrations and at the famous Shanmukhananda Hall in Bombay. They regaled the audience with extraordinary tales of Swami's love and attention to detail. To put it in a nutshell, the message that emerged was 'God is Bhava Priya and not Bahya Priya'.


The students of Muddenahalli, Anantapur, Brindavan, campuses along with students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School offered their presentations with various themes co-related to Indian Culture and Spirituality and Bhaja Govindam.

Students of the Muddenahalli Campus enacted a Skit entitled 
“Reason for Creation and Realization of God in our self”


Innovative Presentation by the Students of the Anantpur Campus 
The act was followed by the presentation from the students of Anantapur Campus. Their theme portrayed various trials to connect and re-connect our self to God in our daily life. The focus of the presentation was on 'Redefining boundaries' to achieve the divine connection.
Students of the Brindavan Campus enacted a Skit entitled “Gods Call-Centre
Based on the theme “The Infinite Loop”, the students from the Brindavan Campus presented their play “Gods Call-Centre” to convey the significance of “The Infinite Loop of Desires and Despair” and the importance of Oneness with the Supreme Lord.

The final Presentation was that of the students of Sri Sathya Sai Higher Secondary School, Prasanthi Nilayam. The Sanskrit skit to highlight the importance of chanting the name of the Lord.

His Holiness Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji, Sri Kailash Ashram Mahasamsthana and Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devasthana, Bengaluru
The Guest speaker of the day was His Holiness Sri Jayendra Puri Mahaswamiji, Sri Kailash Ashram Mahasamsthana and Sri Raja Rajeshwari Devasthana, Bengaluru. The Talk emphasized on the theme of “Mind and Its Mysteries”. It highlighted various scenes from Ramayana and Mahabharata about the impact of thoughts and their subsequent results through actions.
