Trayee Sessions – Part 8

Thursday, May 31, 2001

Swami came at 4.30 pm. While coming towards the Jhoola, He asked a student…
Sri Sathya Sai in Trayee Brindavan

Swami : (Smiling) Where is your mother-in-law? (No answer from the student.) Mother-in-law… Warden! (Meanwhile, Brindavan Warden had just come in. To the Brindavan Warden) Why are you late?

B. Warden : Many new boys are there. I was ensuring that they settle down properly in the Hostel. (Swami then sat on the Jhoola.)

Swami : How do you know the details of the new boys?

B. Warden : I spoke to each one of them in the morning.
Swami : (Pointing to two small students entering just then) Those boys?

B. Warden : Primary School boys.

Swami : (Referring to one of the teachers) ‘Step mother-in-law…’ (To a student) Is he step mother-in-law? (To a teacher) Are you step mother-in-law?

Teacher : No, Swami.

Swami : Why did you get up then? Who is mother-in-law? Who?

Teacher : Warden.

Swami : Between daughters-in-law, there is always trouble… Mother-in-law also adds to the trouble. However, she controls all daughters-in-law, with one hand. (After a moment, shaking His head) No, mother, not mother-in-law. Mother-in-law cannot manage so many daughters-in-law. Mother can have many sons. (To a student) How many sons did Gandhari have?

Student : Hundred.

Swami : How do you know? Have you seen? Dunnapotha! How many wives did Dritarashtra have?

Student : One.

Swami : How do you know?

(To a teacher; Smilingl mischeavously) ‘Aao Step-Mother’ (Come, step-mother). (While he was taking Namaskar, to a student) Why didn’t you go to Parthi?

Student : Degree over, Swami.

Swami : Over? Then go to Bombay. (The student nodded to say that he would not.) Why? Which subject?

Student : Chemistry.

Swami : How many Chemistry boys are there?

B. Warden : Those who have completed M.Sc?

Swami : Yes.

Brindavan Warden asked those boys to get up. Swami saw all of them, and then asked a teacher to give a talk. As the teacher was waiting for Bhagavan’s nod…

Swami : Why are you waiting? Start fast.

During his speech, he told that the occasion was unique, because there were students who had just joined, and those who had just completed their education.

Swami : (Pointing to a student) Three years over.

Swami blessed the teacher after his speech and then asked a student to speak.

Blessing the student after his speech…

Swami : Over? When are you going to Bombay? M.Sc over. Have you done Ph.D?

Student : No.

Swami : What do you want?

Student : You.

Swami : Take Me.

Swami got up, created Vibhuti for the student, and applied it on his forehead. He also packed the remaining Vibhuti for him in a piece of paper. Blessing him Swami told,
‘Go to Bombay’. Swami got up at 5.17 pm.

Swami : Tomorrow I am going to Bombay. Starting 8’o clock, and coming back at 4’o clock.

B. Warden : Tomorrow itself?

Swami : Yes. (To a student) Are you coming?
