Swami blessed the Silver Jubilee of the Akhanda Bhajans organised by Dr. R. S. Padmanabhan's family at the Golden Jubilee Hall in Bangalore on November 20, 1974. Nearly 10,000 people attended the function. Swami delivered a Discourse at the conclusion of the Bhajans.
On this momentous occasion, Swami declared that, in
future, instead of Dr. Padmanabhan‘s family conducting the Akhanda Bhajans, the
entire world would conduct it on the same day and at the same time (Global
Akhanda Bhajan). He materialised a Navaratana
Mala (a rosary consisting of the nine precious gems) and gave it to the
doctor as benediction to the entire family.
